| On 13 July 2008, professor Bronislaw Geremek Former Minister of Foreign Affairs (1997-2000), member of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland and European Parliament was killed in car accident. He was a distingushed statesman, one of the Solidarity leaders nad an architect of political changes in Poland and Europe.
